Sterling graduated from UNC-Asheville in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in psychology. He then completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Sterling worked as an EMT in Forsyth County and as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. He is interested in all areas of family practice, with a passion for preventive medicine and management of chronic diseases like diabetes. Sterling enjoys spending time outside of the clinic with his family, pursuing fitness, and enjoying the outdoors.
Mekesha Senter joined Tri County Primary Care in 2022. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has a Master of Science in Nursing (FNP-C) from East Tennessee State University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Winston Salem State University. She has experience as a FNP in primary care, pediatrics, urgent and emergency care, and employee wellness. Throughout her career she also enjoyed working for many years as a Registered Nurse in home health and post anesthesia intensive care. Mekesha is passionate about teaching health wellness and prevention and providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive medical care.
