Sterling Nicholson
FNP-C, AANP Board Certification
Sterling earned his Bachelor of Science in psychology from UNC Asheville in 2010 before going on to complete both his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing at Winston-Salem State University. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, he gained valuable hands-on experience working as an EMT in Forsyth County and as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.
Sterling has a strong interest in all aspects of family medicine, with a particular passion for preventive care and managing chronic conditions such as diabetes. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, staying active through fitness, and taking advantage of the outdoors.
Mekesha Senter
FNP-C, AANP Board Certification
Mekesha Senter joined Tri County Primary Care in 2022 and is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing (FNP-C) from East Tennessee State University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University.
Mekesha brings a diverse clinical background, with experience in primary care, pediatrics, urgent care, emergency care, and employee wellness. She also spent several years working as a Registered Nurse in home health and post-anesthesia intensive care.
She is passionate about promoting health education, wellness, and prevention, and is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate, and comprehensive care to every patient.
Misty Jarvis

With nearly three decades of nursing experience, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives. My approach centers on meeting people where they are, building meaningful relationships, and partnering together to achieve the best possible health outcomes. My clinical philosophy emphasizes prevention, health promotion, and improving quality of life through high-quality, evidence-based healthcare. I strongly believe that every individual deserves personalized care and support in achieving their healthiest version of themselves.
In 2010, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Winston-Salem State University and completed my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Chamberlain University in 2025. I am certified as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board as of 2025.
Outside of healthcare, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, participating in church activities, and savoring a good cup of coffee or hot tea.
